Nevada will fully enter the sports betting business by early next year, as a committee tasked with designing the regulations has now completed its job.
The expansion of esports wagering is being led by the Nevada Esports Technical Advisory Committee and this week it forwarded its proposed regulations to the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
It is expected that the NGCB will approve the plans by the end of this year and the state – but in particular Las Vegas – will begin to host major championships and league events, writes CDC Gaming Reports.
There has been some delay in the expansion of sportsbooks in the state as each has to seek approval separately.
The new proposals will enable sportsbooks to know in advance which events they can offer for wagers and plan ahead.
