In keeping with its “core strategy” to expand its presence in regulated markets, Swedish supplier of digitally distributed gaming systems, NetEnt, has gone live in Croatia.

The Stockholm-headquartered casino software developer’s portfolio of award-winning slot games and marketing tools are now available with three of the Southeast European country’s leading online gaming operators Arena Casino, Germania and SuperSport. On January 11, 2017, the latter launched its online poker room, making it the first regulated Croatian online poker room.

NetEnt says it plans to go live with additional operators in Croatia in the coming months.

Core strategy:

Commenting on the strategic move, Managing Director for NetEnt Malta, Henrik Fagerlund, said in an official press release…

“We’ve been eying the Croatian market for a while and we are of course happy to make this market entry. Growing our business in regulated markets is part of the core strategy for the NetEnt group. We are excited to put our portfolio of slot games in front of players and I’m certain they will enjoy them.”

Switzerland and Colombia entry:

After being awarded the global standard ISO 27001 certification, in early April the Sweden and Malta-based company entered the regulated market in Switzerland. The company launched its games with Grand Casino Luzern, on the Alands Penningautomatforening (Paf) platform, and Grand Casino Baden, on Gamanza Group AG’s platform, and is on track to follow suit with several other licensed Swiss operators in the coming months.

NetEnt’s entry into Switzerland was soon followed by its entry into Colombia‘s regulated market, after having signed an agreement with Rush Street Interactive LLC regarding market entry into the South American country earlier this year. The move made available a selection of the Swedish firm’s popular table games, including Blackjack and two versions of Roulette, to RushBet.co.

Super Striker launch:

In addition to its latest regulated market entries, the leader in browser-based casino games offered fans some excitement with the launch of its football-themed release Super Striker. The medium-high volatility, 3-reel, 3-row, 5-paylines video slot offers a bonus game that can be triggered and is packed with multipliers and progressive levels.

During the base game, players can also activate the Bet Slip feature for an additional side bet. The side-bet concept first rolled early last year out as part of NetEnt’s Scudamore’s Super Stakes, the firm’s first sports branded title.
