According to the Swedish gambling authority, the Spelinspektionen, more Swedes gambled last year.


A survey, conducted at the end of November, showed that 73 per cent of Swedes had gambled for money in the previous 12 months, up seven per cent compared with a similar survey at the end of 2020.

The survey also showed that 29 per cent of players had gambled every week – similar to the previous year – and that 75 per cent of the players had used the lotteries and number games.

It also showed that 86 per cent of the players had gambled at home, up seven per cent, and 59 per cent are familiar with the self-exclusion register.
