Colorado’s Monarch Casino and Resort now has a temporary certificate of occupancy for floors one to 13 of its new 23-storey hotel tower.
The first phase of the hotel in Black Hawk will open on Thursday of this week, the company announced. It includes an expanded casino, three restaurants and 250 hotel rooms.
Two weeks ago, Colorado voters approved an amendment to the state constitution to permit Black Hawk to remove or increase the $100 single bet limit and approve new games such as baccarat and pai-gow.
