With the US tribal gambling locations unaffected by government decrees to close, those outside of the reservations have been desperate to reopen.
Michigan’s Island Resort and Casino reopens for business today, May 6, with slots, some F&B, bingo and retail all back in action.
From Friday its golf courses will reopen and next week the hotel, gaming tables, poker, spa, pool, fitness centre and slot tournaments will restart on May 13.
The casino has 320 guest rooms, 1,200 slots and a wide range of table games.
