The first of the MGM Resorts Las Vegas properties to reopen will be on June 4, the company has announced.
On that date, the Bellagio, New York-New York, MGM Grand and The Signature will all reopen their doors. They will all have reduced amenities and, as demand builds, so more and more of the facilities within them will restart.
The company has a seven-point safety plan, a set of protocols designed in conjunction with medical advice to help protect staff and players. They include employee screening, temperature checks and pandemic training. Employees will wear masks and guests will be encouraged to wear them too. Physical distancing measures will be brought in or barriers erected with some table games closing.
