Melco has become the first casino operator to receive responsible gaming certification across its entire portfolio.

Melco Resorts and Entertainment’s Cyprus subsidiary has announced that its Cyprus casinos have been granted third party accreditation with the responsible gaming RG Check.

It is the first location in Europe to receive the endorsement and now Melco is alone globally to have RG Check recognition at all of its operations. In the case of Cyprus it means the locations at Limassol, Nicosia, Ayia Napa and Paphos.

The company was first in Macau and the Philippines to attain RG Check certifications. In Macau that means Altira Macau, City of Dreams, Macau and Studio City with City of Dreams in Manila completing the list.

Shelley White, CEO of the Responsible Gambling Council, said: “Melco has demonstrated its commitment to responsible gaming. Throughout the process, Melco has demonstrated its transparency as an operator and has made duty of care a priority in its operations.”
