Grant Johnson has been named as the new senior vice president property general manager at the City of Dreams Mediterranean and Cyprus Casinos C2 to replace Craig Ballantyne, who has retired.
Melco Resorts and Entertainment made the announcement overnight so that there would be a smooth transfer of responsibility for the ongoing development of the City of Dreams Mediterranean. The work is scheduled for completion in the last quarter of 2021.
Said Lawrence Ho, chairman and CEO at Melco: “With Grant’s proven track record of delivering growth for the company, I am confident that we can continue pushing boundaries as a global leader in innovative luxury entertainment offerings. This promotion represents Melco’s commitment to internal career opportunities.”
Johnson was previously director of marketing Asia for the National Basketball Association, director of destination marketing at Sands China and senior vice-president casino sales, marketing and operations at Studio City in Macau. He has been with Melco for nearly 10 years.
