The Canadian state of Manitoba may reopen concert halls, casinos and other places of public gathering as it seeks to ease the lockdown.

Health officials suggested the changes last week as the infection rate resulting in hospital stays has fallen, the vaccine rollout is moving in the right direction and the positive effect of springtime become factors.

The suggestion to reopen for the first time since October would come with 25 per cent capacity up to a 250-person maximum.
