Changes have been made to the structure of the Gauselmann Group’s German-based Merkur Sportwetten sports betting company.


The product team at the company has been split into two departments, a digital operation and technology and delivery team.

“The new structure within our product team provides valuable resources and a more targeting focus on developing our online business,” said Markus Ettlin, management spokesperson at Merkur Sportwetten.

Andy Bentley (pictured) is leading the digital operation team, having served as a consultant since last November, joining as chief operating officer, digital.

He will be responsible for increasing the growth of online business, providing customer service and defining the online product range. He is from Scotland and has long experience in the gaming industry.

The technology and delivery sector is in the hands of Adam Lomax as director. He has been with the group since March of this year and was initially responsible for the provision of the platform and systems of the international land-based and online market.

In his new role he will handle the further development of Merkur Sportwetten products. He has been in the gaming industry for more than 20 years.
