New figures released by Macau’s Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau show that revenues produced by mass market games such as slots and baccarat fell to MOP1.73bn (about US$217m) in the April-June 2020 period, down 95.5 per cent from the 2019 figures.

These poor results were naturally driven by the impact of Covid-19, especially the travel restrictions which continue to cut off the territory’s casinos from most of its potential customer base.

Meanwhile, the  figures also revealed that revenues generated by the Macau Jockey Club stood at MOP70m, while revenues from football and basketball betting by Macao Slot amounted to MOP663m.
