Although the border between Macau and mainland China has been reopened and visas are being issued, forecasts of the territory’s gaming revenues remain depressed, mainly because of the time it has taken to relax the restrictions.

A decline of 44 per cent for the year is expected by experts, but with a 96 per cent improvement in 2021.

For the first half of June, revenues fell 93 per cent to US$93m, according to Fantini’s Gaming Report.
