Sazka Group, the company now in the favoured position to take the UK’s National Lottery operation through its subsidiary Allwyn, has released details of a major resurgence in its performance.
The Czech-owned gaming group, owned by billionaire Karel Komarek (pictured), had record consolidated GGR of €3.05bn, up 51 per cent, in the year to end December 2021. This was despite the lingering effects of Covid restrictions in some areas.
There was a record consolidated adjusted EBITDA margin of 53 per cent at €967m and continued strong growth in online sales, contributing 38 per cent of GGR in the Czech Republic, compared with 19 per cent in 2019.
