Lima ‘huge success’ for Merkur Gaming

The Peru Gaming Show in Lima was “a huge success” for Merkur Gaming, the company said yesterday.

The show returned to its traditional dates, June 15-16, for the 19th edition of the event and Merkur was the largest exhibitor through its Peru office. It displayed its Link Zone and the new Solar Link progressive jackpot solutions together with the Merkur Mystery prize feature link.

There was a strong back-up of its multigame machines and the company’s sister, edict eGaming, presented its online solutions. And GeWeTe was present with its cash handling technology.

The footfall, said the company, was not just Peru operators but businessmen from across the LatAm region. In a press release, Merkur said: “It now seems almost certain that PGS will now take up the mantle of being the show representing all of Latin America.”

There was more than 5,000sq.m of exhibitor booth space with both the online and traditional land-based gaming genres represented.

Said Tomas Mieles, sales director for LatAm: “I am delighted with how well the show has gone for Merkur. We are a major brand in Peru but PGS also brought in important contacts from right across the region.

“The work that every member of our Peru team has put in has been exceptional and the smooth running of every aspect of the show has been the very positive result.”
