The tiny European country of Liechtenstein has voted in favour of keeping casinos, reports Reuters.

Voters rejected a proposed ban on casinos in a referendum of its 40,000 population. Liechtenstein currently has six casinos.

The opponents of casinos in the country had based their case on gambling addiction, but 73 per cent of the voters rejected the ban after a turnout of 70 per cent of the voters.
