Anyone ready to buy a slice of the Las Vegas Strip for around $120m?
A deal covering 10 acres of land where the Riviera hotel-casino used to stand has fallen through and the land is back on the market.
It was to have been a 50-storey, 2,000-room resort, adjacent to the Fontainebleau, and a Chilean Billionaire, Claudio Fischer (pictured), who built the Monticello Casino Resort near Santiago, the Chile capital, was set to buy the land.
But according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Fischer, owner of two airlines and a resort development company, has pulled out. The newspaper said that Fischer had been deterred by interest rates in the US rising seven times in a year.
