Paradise Co., the operator of casinos in South Korea that admit foreign nationals only, has reported gross gaming revenue of US$274.5m for the calendar year 2022.

This was a 40.9 per cent increase on the previous full year. The company operates the Walkerhill in Seoul, Jeju, Paradise City at Incheon and the casino at Busan.

The increase in revenue was probably due to the relaxation of coronavirus restrictions and easing of entry conditions for foreign travelers.

Meanwhile, another Korean casino operator, Grand Korea Leisure, saw revenue up 196 per cent at $208.4m. It runs two casinos under the Seven Luck brand in Seoul, one in Gangnam and another in Busan.
