Two million US dollars have been added to the MGM Resorts Foundation, an organisation dedicated to helping the group’s employees impacted by the pandemic.

It has come from the estate of Kirk Kerkorian, the founder of MGM Resorts International. The late Kerkorian would have wanted his employees to know how much he attributed his success to them, said a spokesperson for the estate.

The foundation’s Employee Emergency Grant Fund will receive the money to give short-term assistance and relief during the hardships brought on by Covid-19. So far the foundation has provided over $11m in emergency grant payments to support employees impacted by the crisis.
