Italian operator reopens 1,000 betting shops

After a three-month shut-down, Italian betting shop operator Planetwin365 has announced that all of its 1,000 sports betting shops have reopened.

The company reports that it has put into place a series of procedures to secure the health and safety of staff and customers

Said Alexander Martin CEO: “It has been a crucial time for the business and absolutely necessary given the spread of COVID -19. We have used the time to develop a series of initiatives to improve our product experience, both retail and online, to offer more innovative services for customers.”

Jim Parkins, chief product and technology officer, said that major updates to the POS systems for customers and shops had been introduced, including the new Planetwin365 self-service bet booking system. The system improves the speed and experience of placing bets at terminals.
