A deal between IGT and Spain’s Orenes Grupo, a leading distributor, will see IGT content and hardware access the Spanish ‘salones’ sector.

The agreement with Orenes Grupo was reached by IGT Europe Gaming, the IGT subsidiary. The first product to reach the market through the deal is Magic Fortune Link, a multi-level progressive.

The Spanish ‘salones’ sector amounts to 3,000 gaming and bingo halls. The locations have a casino atmosphere and in recent times the venues have become more video-based and technologically advanced.

Mark MacCombie, senior vide-president EMEA gaming at IGT noted that the Magic Fortune Link had already achieved outstanding results in Spain and is “an encouraging start.”

The game has four themes, Hephaestus, Temple of Fire, Golden Secrets and Dreams of Egypt and were specially adapted for the Spanish arcades. They offer the chance to enter a bonus game with hold and spin link mechanics geared towards arcade players. The players have the chance to win four levels of progressive prizes, including the top awards.
