IGT and Rhode Island Lottery Extend Sports Betting Technology Supply Agreement

Top-tier technology provider to the iGaming, sports betting, and lottery industry, International Game Technology (IGT), has agreed with the Rhode Island Lottery upon a three-year extension of the original agreement. The Company reports that the three-year extension of the B2C agreement with the Rhode Island Lottery will facilitate a continuous supply of its proven sports betting technology.

Subject Technology:

International Game Technology already uses its sports betting technology development branded IGT PlaySports™ to power up mobile sports betting operations of the Sportsbook Rhode Island application, as well as Rhode Island’s sports wagering facilities located at Bally’s Twin River Lincoln Casino Resort and Bally’s Tiverton Casino & Hotel. The IGT PlaySports™ technology is also available at more than 80 gaming venues across the U.S. and Canada through IGT’s commercial partnership with William Hill U.S.

Commenting on the contract extension, Mark Furcolo, Rhode Island Lottery Director, said: “As one of the first U.S. lotteries to launch sports betting, Rhode Island Lottery is very pleased with the successful program we have built over the last five years, backed by IGT’s world-class technology and William Hill’s operator experience.”
