The Holland Casino Utrecht officially opened on Friday with 1,200 guests attending the opening cermony.
The newest location of Holland Casino has a total surface area of 11,000m2 with 653 slot machines and 41 gaming tables.
The casino opened in September 2021 but with no official opening event because of the pandemic.
CEO Petra de Ruiter, pictured taking the opening spin on the roulette wheel, said: “Holland Casino Utrecht is not only the beautiful diamond on the ring of Utrecht where many guests spend a pleasant afternoon or evening, it is also one of the most sustainable casinos in Europe. That goes together very well.”
The location in Utrecht has its own power plant with heat-cold storage. The heat that remains will soon be used for the homes to be built in the area. In addition, Holland Casino Utrecht has 700 solar panels, 24 charging points for electric bicycles and 62 charging points for electric cars.
