UK casino operator Grosvenor has a new general manager for its Plymouth location to prepare it to exit the pandemic lockdown.
James Harvey, a 28-year veteran of the casino business, actually started at the Plymouth venue in 1993, training as a croupier, moving to London but still in the industry. Harvey has returned to take over the Plymouth location where he will open the casino’s doors on May 17.
“We are pleased that hospitality venues such as ours can reopen from May 17,” he said, “and the removal of the 10p. curfew, which was damaging to casinos last year, is also good news.”
Harvey hopes to introduce live music to the venue’s offer when it opens. Grosvenor Casinos has 52 venues across the UK and is part of The Rank Group.
