Australian pubs will be reopened from June 1, with a limit of 50 customers, which is good news for the country’s gaming machine industry.

The country’s casinos remain closed. Border closures, however, remain in place with 14-day quarantine for arrivals, even from next-door New Zealand, with whom a reciprocal arrangement is due to happen shortly.

Within Australia itself, only the border between two states, New South Wales and Victoria, is open. All of the other states have their interstate borders still closed and requiring either 14-day quarantine or simply not permitting non-residents in at all.
