Omaha is the name of the game right now at GGPoker. The online poker room has announced a new OmahaSquad along with creating an Omaholic Series that will run from March 14-28. Players can watch the team players take part in Omaha action or compete themselves in this new series.

OmahaSquad Adds Sasha Liu

This week, GGPoker announced the creation of the OmahaSquad, a new team that is composed of players who are experts in this game variant. The pros will represent the team in live and online settings along with providing a focal point for the community of players who enjoy Omaha gaming options.

Sasha Liu was just added to the team, joining Fernando ‘JNandezPoker’ Habegger on the squad. Liu is a top poker player based in Germany who has been seen at the Omaha tables around the globe. She enjoys cash gaming the best but has also been successful in poker tournaments.

Liu said joining the squad was an easy decision.  She saw early on that GGPoker had the same passion for Omaha as she did, and she is looking forward to working closely with her squadmate JNandez along with the rest of the team to grow the game.

Omaholic Series

The new Omaholic series is also something to look forward to. Online poker players can compete in the series from March 14-28. There will be a minimum of $7 million in total prize money up for grabs. The schedule will include many events, but a few stand out from the rest.

On the first day, take part in the Omaholic Bounty King. This event has a buy-in of $315 and features a $75,000 prize pool. On the very same day, you also have the Super High Roller. This event has a much larger $10,300 buy-in and features a $500,000 prize pool.

The online poker room has also decided to launch No Limit Post-Flop Omaha during this series. The new format features no limit to the betting once the flop has taken place.

GGPoker said they worked with JNandez to create the Omaholic Series. The online poker room looks forward to working with Sasha and JNandez in the future to promote Omaha across a wider audience.
