Genius and NFL licence Bet365, Bet99, and Rivalry to operate ‘Watch&Bet’ live stream in Canada

Earlier today, the National Football League (NFL) and the media data provider Genius Sports Limited announced the closure of new licensing agreements with three approved sportsbooks to distribute live video streams of NFL matches to their customers in Canada.

State-of-the-art video streaming solution:

The sportsbooks Bet365, Bet99, and Rivalry have acquired the rights to provide low-latency video streams of all regular and post-season NFL matches to their Canadian customers. Under the license agreement, such a provision includes the live streaming service of Genius Sports’ fully integrated Watch & Bet solution.

Genius will power video experiences for millions of Bet365, Bet99, and Rivalry customers in Canada throughout the utilization of its machine learning and live streaming technologies. The data provider will also offer engaging new options to monitor bets and the live events.

Live video streaming services:

Genius Sports has become the NFL exclusive distributor of real-time statistics of each football event, as well as the distributor of the corporate Next Gen Stats (NGS) data. The partnership entitled the popular service provider  to feed the League’s official sports betting data to media companies and sportsbooks in regulated international markets. Under the terms of the agreement between Genius and NFL effective since April 2021, Genius Sports has had the right to distribute low latency video feeds to sportsbooks in key international markets ever since.

Licensed operators in Canada:

With the today’s licence agreements with the approved betting operators Bet365, Bet99, and Rivalry, the underlying partnership between Genius and the League will make low-latency video streaming services available in Canada.

The three license agreements anticipate the combination of the video feeds with the NFL’s official data available for each of the three operators. They will also be able to access the broad advertising database – previously exclusively available to partners to the underlying deal –  to source the fine selection of advertising material and provide their Canadian customers with the highest quality NFL betting experience.
