In Germany and local gaming machines giant Gauselmann Group has announced success in the race for the local license to operate the only four casinos in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
The Espelkamp-headquartered firm used an official Tuesday press release to detail that it overcame a pair of rivals to secure the casino monopoly for the western state of approximately 18 million people until the end of 2035. The company explained that the move will moreover involve its absorption of existing operator Westdeutsche Spielbanken GmbH and this enterprise’s existing gambling-friendly properties in the communities of Duisburg, Bad Oeynhausen, Aachen and Dortmund.
Gauselmann Group revealed that it currently has over 14,000 employees spread across the globe with the effective tender also due to give it the potential to build and operate two more casinos in North Rhine-Westphalia. The firm declared that the selection demonstrates ‘its outstanding expertise in the successful operation of casinos at more than 28 locations in Germany and abroad’ and came after it had presented ‘the most attractive offer’ that included ‘proof of sustainable economic performance as well as financial stability and quality.’
