Svenska Spel, the Swedish monopoly gaming operator, has introduced short-time working within its Swedish Sport & Casino, which sets odds on sporting events.
Its Casino Cosmopol and Cc Casino Restaurant are also affected through a dramatic decrease in footfall. The Cosmopol’s four casinos were closed on Sunday temporarily through a ban on more than 50 people collecting in one place.
The impact of the short-time work for Swedish Sport & Casino will impact 45 out of 135 staff, but the casino shutdown will impact 800 out of 900 employees. The casinos are in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö and Sundsvall.
