One of the world’s largest assemblies of slot machines in one casino is about to get even more.

The Indian casino at Foxwoods in Connecticut, US, is expanding its gaming space as part of an $85m project. Around 50,000sq.ft of space will be added to the gaming floor next year and this follows the opening of a $7m high stakes bingo hall only in July.

The Mashantucket Pequot Tribe, the owner of the casino, has also recently announced that an indoor water park will be opened adjacent to the venue.

Currently the casino has 300,000sq.ft of gaming space, containing 3,000 slots and 250 table games. In addition to the extension to the floor, the venue is opening a celebrity chef restaurant and two more bars. Work will begin in November.
