Foxwoods Announces Gaming Floor and Dining Expansion

Foxwoods Resort Casino announced this week a plan to invest more in the gaming property. The casino will add 50,000 more square feet of space to the gaming floor in 2023 and provide a new dining space with a celebrity chef-owned venue. As much as $85 million will be spent on the changes.

Details of the New Additions

In a press release, Foxwoods detailed the changes to the property. The new casino space will mark the first time the property has upgraded gaming since 2008, so the change will be welcome. The new space will be placed inside the Grand Ballroom within the Grand Pequot area of the property.

It is unclear as to what the room will house. It could be slot additions or both slots and table games. As of its most recent quarterly report, the casino offered around 300,000 square feet of gaming space. Visitors will soon have access to more than the current 3,000 slots and 250 table games.

As far as the new restaurant is concerned, we don’t know who the iconic celebrity chef behind the brand is, but the venue will be coming soon. The restaurant will have 13,000 square feet of space. The individual connected to the restaurant will be revealed sometime this year.

The area of the restaurant will also include a high-limit slot area and a large bar. Construction on the new space should begin in two months.

High Stakes Bingo Hall Opens

Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut has been steadily making changes, with the property recently welcoming the new High Stakes Bingo Hall. In July, the bingo hall opened, offering more gaming options and expanded prize pools.

A crowd of people was on hand on opening day, with everyone wanting to participate in the first game. The new bingo hall and additional changes are part of the 30th-anniversary celebration of the casino. Visitors have access to more gaming options and additional entertainment to upgrade the overall experience.

At the new facility, players can access bingo five days a week. There are two gaming sessions offered each day. Players can compete for $15 or $25 per entry. Prizes from the games can reach high amounts of $10,000 to $15,000. The first gaming session starts at 10:30 am, and the second is later in the evening at 6:30 pm.

The Foxwoods bingo hall has been busy since opening day and the newer additions that will come next year are expected to be well-received. Players appreciate having access to more gaming options in Connecticut, especially new areas with varying machines on offer.
