After a long period of speculation and expectation, we finally got to look at the Sky Deck at the Queen’s Wharf Brisbane. This integrated resort will cost $3.6 billion, and its opening is planned for the second half of 2023

This new resort will greatly increase the potential of Brisbane as an important market in Australia, drawing new customers and tourists.

The mix of modern and traditional Australia:

The resort is situated on the Brisbane River, across the South Bank, an amazing location where modern architecture and traditional Australian culture meet each other.

There is something for everyone: from dining to entertainment and recreational activities, so nobody will get bored in this resort.

Destination Brisbane Consortium, a result of The Star Entertainment Group, Chow Tai Fook, and Far East Consortium, shared an update on the project’s development.

The photo of Sky Deck is finally shared with the audience, and it is stunning. It is located above the Brisbane River, providing visitors with a fantastic view of the CBD, Moreton Bay, and Mt Coot-ha

Robbie Cooke, a Managing Director at The Star Entertainment Group, said: “The Sky Deck will be the centerpiece for the game-changing $3.6 billion riverside development. It will be a must-visit Queensland tourism destination attracting millions of international and interstate visitors in the run-up to the 2032 Games. Importantly, it will also be a source of immense pride for locals. The Sky Deck will be a first for Brisbane. It will be open day and night, 365 days a year, for up to 1,500 people as somewhere to celebrate a special event, to bring visiting friends and family, or even as a meeting place for a drink after work.”

One of the special features of Sky Deck is its 250 meters open-air rooftop. There will also be a signature restaurant, all-day casual dining, and a hero bar. For more extravagant customers, the sky-high event space and a glass floor with stunning views will be prepared.

This building will be able to compete with Australia’s most famous symbols, such as the Sudney Opera House and laneways in Melbourne.

This is a significant milestone in the project. The next major step is lifting the second bridge, connecting The Star Grand Hotel and Residential Tower

Simon Crooks, the Project Director of the Destination Brisbane Consortium, said: “The upcoming second bridge link will be more complex than the first, with three sections weighing 220 tonnes coming together on the podium before being safely jacked into place directly above William Street,” Mr. Crooks said. “It really is a unique engineering feat with the third, final, and largest sky deck bridge link expected to be installed in the coming months completing the distinctive arc shape.”

Queen’s Wharf Brisbane will contain four new luxury hotels, about 1.500 residential apartments, over 50 bars and restaurants, and a huge public space. This project will provide hundreds of people with new jobs, and the company has already started recruiting
