Fanatics has been granted a sports betting licence by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.

Commissioners for the US state voted unanimously to hand the company a Category 3 sports wagering operator licence.

Fanatics’ Category 3 licence will be tethered to Plainridge Park Casino’s Category 1 sports wagering licence.

The MGC has announced that retail sports betting will go live in the state on January 31, while the commission wants online and mobile betting set up in March.
