Encore Boston Harbor makes changes to appeal to low rollers

The Encore Boston Harbor was designed to provide a Vegas-style experience in Massachusetts, offering high-rollers an option in the region. Opened in June 2019 with a cost of $2.6 billion to create, the Encore has been successful, but unable to reach their estimated revenues. Officials have figured out they must cater to low rollers as well. This is why recent changes have taken place, from removing parking fees to adding an affordable food truck option to the gaming floor.

Encore Cantina Added: 

Recently, a bright red food truck appeared on the gaming floor of the casino, right at the center of the table games and slots. The Encore Cantina offers affordable dining, with such options as nachos at only $7 a pop. This is much lower than other food options at the casino’s many restaurants.

The goal of the Encore is to create changes that will provide quality at a price point that appeals to every market. Prices have even been lowered at the high-end restaurants to appeal to a larger audience.

Brian Gullbrants, the casino president, commented on the changes by stating: “We don’t ever want to alienate a segment of business. We want customers to be able to come here whether they have a dime, 10 bucks, or 10,000 bucks, and feel like a million bucks.

Additional Changes: 

Even more changes have been afoot at the casino to appeal to low rollers. Back in November, the casino operator announced that table game minimums would be lowered to just $15 per table. Parking fees were also eliminated. These small changes add up for the more budget conscious players as they will have more money to play rather than pay to get on-site and into a table.

To further provide a better guest experience, the casino announced just a few weeks ago that the venue would be adding self-service machines for drinks. Customers have complained that complimentary drink service is taking too long. With the beverage dispensers, the servers do not have to wait for a bartender to mix the drinks, which will cut down on customer wait times.
