Donaco International’s CEO, Lee Bug Huy, is banking on the reopening of the Cambodia-Thailand land borders to fuel the company’s gradual recovery in the next financial year.

Covid-19 disruption severely impacted Donaco’s balance sheet for the fiscal 2022, with its Star Vegas and Aristo casinos having catalysed the process due to force majeure closures.

“With the reopening of the Cambodia-Thailand land borders in May 2022, we expect that Star Vegas’ performance will gradually recover in the next financial year,” Huy noted in the company’s 2022 annual report submitted to the Australian Stock Exchange.
