Cambodian casino operator Donaco International has benefited from the relaxing of pandemic restrictions on both sides of the border with Thailand.
The company has reported US$1.3m fourth quarter EBITDA, up from $1.06m in the previous quarter. In the same quarter of last year there was a $874,000 loss. Revenue in the quarter was $3.7m up from the $268,000 in the same period of 2021.
The company operates the Star Vegas casino in Poipet inside Cambodia but adjacent to the Thai border. In other operations, Donaco’s Aristo Hotel in Vietnam had revenue of only $134,000 and an EBITDA loss of $190,000 as the nearby China border was still heavily impacted by the virus.
