A mere 15 per cent capacity restriction will hamper the reopening of the casinos in Detroit, Michigan, US once the lockdown is removed.

They include mandatory temperature checks and face masks for everyone. The buffets would also be closed.

No date has yet been set for reopening of the three casinos, the MGM Grand, MotorCity and Greektown venues. Some of the state’s tribal casinos, not subject to the governor’s regulations, have already reopened.

Taxes on casinos are the city’s third largest revenue source, reports Yogonet. Revenues at the three locations reached $299 to the end of May, down more than 50 per cent on the first five months of the year.
