The New South Wales gaming regulator has officially informed Crown Resorts that it is no longer suitable to hold the licence for its new Sydney casino.

The decision by the Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority comes after last week’s release of a scathing report that recommended Crown was unsuitable to hold the gaming licence.

It said a consultation process with the ILGA had commenced and that the company will be given the opportunity to address the breaches in a bid to open the casino at Barangaroo in the future.
