Spanish gaming machine giant Cirsa secured an operating profit of €81.1m in the second quarter of 2021.


The results were a considerable improvement on the previous quarter as the company reported that 62.4 per cent of opening hours were available to its equipment, almost double that of the previous quarter.

The company reported that most of its improved performance was in Spain’s 17 communities or regions, through its operations in casinos, bingo halls, arcades and its bar machine operations, plus its online business.

A growth of 66 per cent was recorded in the online gaming sector over the same period of 2020. In Italy there was only a gradual return to normality in the gaming machine industry and in Latin American countries there remains strong restrictions on capacity, hours and other services.

Cirsa operates in nine countries, with 151 casinos, 82,000 machines in arcades, 80 bingo halls, 242 arcades and nearly 3,000 sports betting terminals.
