Spain’s giant Cirsa Group managed to get its activity back up to 89 per cent in its third quarter of 2021, helping it to a profit of €100.6m.
The gambling company’s period between July and September saw a turnover of €335m and for the nine months of 2021 €738.9m. EBITDA for the first nine months of the year was €210.3m.
The improvement in its operating hours at Cirsa was brought about by the gradual easing of restrictions in eight of the nine jurisdictions in which it is active.
In casinos, Cirsa matched the 2019 revenues in its venues in Colombia, the Dominican Republic and in Spain itself, while in Panama, Peru and Costa Rica results were less promising because of restrictions.
Its slots sector, under the Unidesa brand, turned out some excellent products, reported the company and its operations in arcades and bars saw a decrease in lockdown and capacity limitation.
