Churchill Downs, the Kentucky-based gaming operator and owner of the famous Kentucky Derby horse race, has announced a partnership with FanDuel, the sports betting company.

The multi-year agreement sees the FanDuel products for sports betting, including advance deposit wagering and television business, being employed by Churchill Downs.

In return, certain of Churchill Downs technology and services will be used by FanDuel customers to bet on horse racing.

The scheme will get under way in January of next year, with FanDuel paying for Churchill technology provided by United Tote Company to enable pari-mutuel wagering on FanDuel platforms in the US.
