Century Casinos saw a return to near-normality in its results for the financial year 2021 after many of its locations were closed for most of 2020.
The group, with properties in the US, Canada and in Poland, reported net operating revenue in Q4 of $107.3m up 27 per cent but earnings fell to $16.4m, down 12 per cent. For the full year the company reported revenue of $388.5m, up 28 per cent and earnings were $64.5m, a huge uplift on a year when it was mostly closed.
Erwin Haitzmann and Peter Hoetzinger, co-CEOs said in a statement: “We finished the year with strong results. We look forward to 2022 and seeing the increased potential of our properties as most Covid restrictions have now been lifted.”
Century has hotels and casinos in Colorado, Alberta, Canada, Missouri, West Virginia and a two-thirds ownership of Casinos Poland with eight locations.
