Presque Isle Downs and Casino in Erie in the US state of Pennsylvania was evacuated on Saturday night due to a bomb threat and reopened on Sunday morning.


According to Play Pennsylvania, on Sunday morning Presque Isle Downs and Casino released the following statement on its Twitter and Facebook: “Presque Isle Downs received a bomb threat just before 10pm last night. For the safety of our guests and team members, we evacuated the building while PSP investigated.

“The bomb squad was called in which utilised three K-9s and deemed the threat unfounded. State police are actively investigating the matter. We have opened our operations for business. Any guest who would have been on property during that time can visit guest services to retrieve any monies left at the table games or in the slot machines from safe keeping.
