Kentucky Derby owner Churchill Downs Inc has shut down operations at its Calder Casino in Miami Gardens, Florida, following an emergency order by the city in face of another rise in Covid-19 cases.



The company has racing, online wagering and gaming entertainment companies, as well as the iconic horse-race. It owns Derby City Gaming, a horse racing machine facility in Louisville, Kentucky and TwinSpires, a sports betting platform. It has 11,000 slots and 200 gaming tables in eight states.
