Last week, restaurants and bars in Cambodia were closed with the government placing a restriction on entry visas for foreigners.

GGRAsia was told by a source that NagaWorld, a venue in the region, would be closing in compliance with the government’s instruction. However, the hotel operations of the resort would continue. Before the gaming closure was announced, NagaWorld was reportedly practicing safety measures including requiring patrons to keep a distance from others.

World-Wide Closures:

The closure of casinos in Cambodia comes at a time when gaming venues around the world are shutting down due to the coronavirus. Gaming jurisdictions in the Philippines, Malaysia, and South Korea are temporarily closed. In Macau, venues began shutting their doors in mid-February.

In the United States, all commercial gaming venues are shutdown. Tribal casinos are following suit as the number of individuals affected by the coronavirus continues to increase daily.
