The reopening and refurbishment of the Star Vegas casino in Cambodia did much to help the third quarter results of operator Donaco International.
The company has released figures that show revenues reaching A$4.5m (€2.9m) and the first growth in its EBITDA since the beginning of last year, reaching A$1.5m (€973,000).
Star Vegas is located close to the Thai border in Cambodia and Donaco said that it had seen a constant increase in cross-border activity and consequent GGR improvements there through the quarter. It generated A$4.1m (€2.6m) and EBITDA of A$2.2m (€1.4m).
The company also operates the Aristo casino in Vietnam that showed GGR of A$430,000 (€279,000), down substantially from the A$760,000 (€493,000) of the comparative quarter of last year. But Donaco is expecting a slower return to normality in the Vietnam-China sector.
