The new $400m master plan for Caesars Entertainment’s investment in Atlantic City, New Jersey, US, has been revealed.
The company, with three properties in the resort, Caesars, Harrah’s and Tropicana, plans remodelled room towers, new iinterior design elements, improvements to the gaming floors, new dining concepts and other additons within the next three years.
The work should boost the city’s position as a Las Vegas-style destination market with a focus on revitalising the world-famous Atlantic City Boardwalk. The first phase of the project, a $170m renovation of guest rooms at Caesars and Harrah’s, will open this summer.
“My administration has teamed up with corporate, community and government partners in an effort to re-establish Atlantic City as a premier tourist destination in New Jersey,” said Governor Phil Murphy.
“This investment in the city supports our focus on growing the economy, continuing to support Atlantic City and creating jobs in our state and I applaud Caesars Entertainment for leading the recovery effort.”
