South Africa’s neighbour Botswana is to legalise LPMs, low payout machines, outside of casinos, according to Gaming for Africa.


These machines are also known as AWP’s (amusements with prizes) in the UK and Europe. The Botswana Gambling Authority has issued a draft request for applications.

The BGA has begun the process of selecting operatorsof gambling establishments with LPM licences in Botswana.
