Hot on the heels of its latest release, and multiplatform developer for digital games, Blueprint Gaming, has now announced its acquisition of Livewire Gaming, United Kingdom-based games creator.

The move further bolsters the Nottinghamshire-headquartered firm’s position as a top slots supplier to every sector of the competitive gaming industry.

Established in 2007, Livewire Gaming delivers both gaming and non-gaming products and is an experienced creator of quality Category C, B3, D and B4 games for the UK market, with quite a few having been developed in partnership with Blueprint.

Business as usual:

Under the terms of the deal, the Doncaster-based company will continue to operate as an independent studio with a focus on the creation of land-based games led by the existing director, Alan Claypole.

Blueprint’s land-based development proficiency will be significantly increased, most notably in producing games for the Category C market.

Commenting on the acquisition, UK General Manager for the firm’s parent organization, Germany-based Gauselmann Group, Sascha Blodau, said…

“We would like to officially welcome Alan and his team to the Gauselmann Group.

“Livewire and Blueprint have had a close relationship for many years, so this merger makes perfect sense for both parties. We look forward to working with Livewire and building on our already successful partnership,” according to the official press release.

Growing portfolio:

Livewire is the most recent addition to the Blueprint’s stable of game studios, following the February acquisition of UK-based games developer Project Coin Limited and the January 2018 acquisition of omni-channel gaming provider Games Warehouse from the Harbour Group.

As mentioned, the acquisition comes just one day after the launch of the British game studio‘s latest edition to its long-running Pub Fruit Series, Carry On Camping, based on the popular 1969 British comedy film by the same name.

The release comes on the heels of the addition of three new features by Blueprint, which includes super mode, in-game lobby and a big win board across its suite of titles. The enhancement is the company’s effort to upgrade its marketing and promotional tools to further operator promotional capabilities.
