The long-awaited first casino licence for Bermuda has finally been granted. The islands’ gaming commission has, as expected, granted the licence to the new St Regis Hotel.
There is no opening date set as yet, because of more procedures that need to be gone through before that.
The Caribbean National Weekly newspaper said that although casinos were approved in 2013, banks had been reluctant to support them.
