Nevada’s bars – including bars inside restaurants – have been closed as the state struggles to manage a spike in Covid-19 infections.
The bars, which may have up to 15 slots at a time, form a large proportion of the state’s gaming venues.
Governor Steve Sisolak cited “excessive non-compliance” of the santisation rules by the bars and their customers since reopening as the reason for the closures, which came into effect last Friday.
The restaurants with bars will also have to limit the number of diners to a maximum of 50 per cent of capacity.
